Special Projects
Special Giving opportunities exist as we maintain and improve the facilities and operations at Lulwanda. Items that would benefit the children include:
1. $26,000 - Install insulation and ceiling in the Main Hall to reduce heat and complete the remodel of this original structure at Lulwanda.
2. $40,000 - Remodel remaining six (6) classrooms at Lulwanda Primary School with new flooring, ceilings and exterior painting. ($20,000 per three (3) classroom block)
3. $8,000 - Student desks need to be refreshed as current furniture has been in service for 15 years and are badly damaged from use.
4. $7,000 - Phase 1-The access road to Lulwanda has not been maintained since 2008. A 2-phase project in partnership with the Mbale District local government has been proposed to bring in new material, grade and contour the road. This will repair 1/3 of the length of the road.
5. $15,000 - Phase 2 -This phase will repair 2/3 of the length of the road.
Donations for Special Projects will be targeted to improving Lulwanda and the lives of the children as directed by the donor.
